Maximize Your Saturdays: Learn how to Sew

Okay. ..  I guess you have an idea of what  this post  is about, but before I go to the main gist, let me give you this side gist about me - Osamudiame Olumese. Osamudiame Olumese doing her thing I somehow have always wanted  to be involved  in the process of making clothing, thanks to my late Aunty  Bridget. So I started learning how to sew early, before my teen-age, as an apprentice  with my lovely Mommy  Mabel Odumah of Royal Vintage.

Good news... We are having a time of our lives  learning at OOTI. I used to wonder at the saying: if you teach others, you would understand  better. That is what this class, Basic Patternmaking : Bodice  has been. The students and lecturer learning. The good news for today  is..... Ankara  Accessories  training  would be holding in April . So, so,  so excited about this. Be prepared  to be part of this class, we would be  having a special  facilitator take the class, and it promises to be fun, fun fun. So so excited. New Course Alert - Pattern making Basics: Bodice

Have you always wondered about pattern making and wish you knew how to do it. This course is an introduction to pattern making for bodice. You will learn how to draft three (3) different bodice blocks: Basic Bodice Block Easy Fitting Bodice block Close Fitting Bodice Block These would be based on accurate measurements, and following pattern instructions. Standard measurements would be given to help those who would like to do ready-to-wear pieces in Standard sizes. With the blocks ready, we would put them to use in various class projects. We would also discuss design options that can be created from the blocks. So that at the end of the course you would be confident with pattern making and use your blocks to bring new designs to life.
