Terms and Conditions of Registration

We are committed to delivering an exceptionally educating experience for our students. Our Terms and Conditions has been established in accordance with our operational protocols, as well as our own extensive experience in owning and running Osas Olumese Training Institute (OOTI). These Terms and Conditions form an integral part of our agreement with you as a student of our Fashion School. By perusing and endorsing this document, you acknowledge your consent to adhere to all of Terms and Conditions, and procedures. These guidelines are provided here to establish clear mutual expectations between Osas Olumese training Institute and our students. It’s important to note that our Terms and Conditions is subject to occasional updates, so we encourage you to revisit them regularly.

Enrollment Procedure


  1. Registration is only complete upon:
    • Payment of fees
    • Payment of registration fee five thousand naira (₦5,000)
    • Submission of completed registration form
    • Signed acknowledgment of these terms and conditions
  2. By submitting the registration form, the participant:
    • Confirms receipt and agreement with these regulations
    • Declares they meet entry requirements of:
      • Good English language knowledge (all courses taught in English)
      • Basic Mathematics knowledge
  3. Course Requirements:
    • Attendance at all sessions
    • Completion of assignments and class work
    • Completion of required projects
    • These requirements must be met within the time frame to receive OOTI certificate of completion


Placement and Admission


  • Registration operates on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Priority determined by date of payment receipt
  • OOTI reserves the right to limit class size
  • These terms and conditions, together with the completed registration form, constitute the agreement between student and OOTI


Attendance and Schedule


  1. Weekday Classes:
    • Lecture Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: 9:00am - 3:30pm
  2. Evening Classes:
    • Lecture Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
  3. Weekend Classes:
    • Saturday: 11:30am - 3:30pm
  4. Attendance Policies:
    • Punctuality is mandatory
    • Class attendance on non-lecture days is encouraged, for student practical
    • Courses run continuously except for approved holidays
    • OOTI observes public holidays
    • Travel delays are student's personal responsibility


Payment and Fees


  1. Payment Terms:
    • Payment required before course commencement
    • Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable
    • Payment valid only for course period
  2. Attendance Break Policy:
    • Absence exceeding 3 weeks constitutes withdrawal
    • Re-enrollment requires full fee payment
    • Inconsistent attendance may result in mandatory withdrawal
    • Gap exceeding 3 weeks between classes may require re-registration


Health and Safety Policies

  1. Pregnancy:
    • Currently pregnant students must obtain medical clearance
    • Students who become pregnant during training must:
      • Inform OOTI management
      • Obtain medical clearance to continue
      • Option to defer training if medically advised
    • Deferred admission requires:
      • New registration
      • Full fee payment upon return
      • Starting course from beginning 
  1. Children Policy:
    • Children are strictly not permitted in class
    • This policy ensures:
      • Student concentration
      • Professional learning environment
      • Safety considerations
    • No exceptions will be made to this policy


Cancellation Policies


  1. Cancellation by OOTI:
    • Right to cancel course for insufficient enrollment
    • 10-day notice will be provided
    • Full refund issued for OOTI cancellations
  2. Student Cancellation:
    • No refund after registration except in cases of:
      • Death of immediate family member (parents, siblings, spouse, children)
      • Student hospitalization
    • Administrative fee of ₦20,000 retained for approved refunds
    • Other cancellation requests evaluated case-by-case


Academic Requirements


  1. Syllabus Completion:
    • Mandatory for final project eligibility
    • Incomplete syllabus requires additional payment for completion
    • No partial completion certificates issued
  2. Discipline:
    • No phone calls or visitors during class
    • No smoking or alcohol on premises
    • Coordinator has final authority on suspension/expulsion
    • No refund for disciplinary dismissal


Facility Management


  1. Equipment Care:
    • Proper handling of sewing machines
    • Disconnect power after use
    • Proper storage of equipment
    • Workspace cleanliness mandatory
  2. Property Usage:
    • School property used only for intended purpose
    • Students responsible for workspace cleanup
    • Proper waste disposal required


Legal Provisions


  1. Liability:
    • OOTI compensation limited to course fee
    • Maximum additional compensation: ₦5,000
    • OOTI reserves right to:
      • Dismiss students
      • Refuse admission
      • Withhold records/certificates
    • School maintains rights to all images/materials for promotional use
  2. Dispute Resolution:
    • Attempts at mutual consultation first
    • Unresolved disputes handled by Kano courts
    • OOTI Coordinator's decision final in undefined cases


Acknowledgment


  • Signed acknowledgment required with registration
  • Confirms understanding and acceptance of all terms
  • Binding agreement between student and OOTI
