About the Basic Course



Duration:                   2 Months
Class times:                11 am - 4 pm (Tuesdays, Wednesday and Fridays weekly)

No previous garment making experience is needed for this course. Experience in using a domestic sewing machine is a plus.
The course is aimed at novice in sewing and pattern making. The class work ranges from hand work (thread and needle), knowing the sewing machine, to making a skirt. The fabrics and tools needed for this level would be provided in the sewing kit. Emphasis is placed on using a sewing machine. Students are introduced to patterns. Basic construction methods are covered.

Personalized parts: pressing ham, taking body measurements, circle skirt and straight skirt.

Admission, Acceptance and Requirements
The available courses are scheduled on the calendar of the institute, to run within the specified time period based on a pre-formulated curriculum. As a result available space per session is limited and is based on a first come, first serve bases. Therefore, we suggest interested person(s) should indicate by seeking information regarding courses, making the necessary payments and filling the registration forms.

Fees:
There are 5 terms in the Osas Olumese Training Program and payment is per term.   The fees each term is inclusive of registration, tuition and lecture notes. A sewing kit is provided for the Basic course.
