Skirt Variation Course

What the course entails:

Using the block made in the Basic class, we would teach you how to manipulate the block to get new skirt styles (interesting right?).

We'll look at how to draft flared skirts, including A–line flares and bias flares (mermaid skirt). You'll also learn to make gathered and pleated skirts—specifically inverted box pleats, and knife pleats.

We'll move on to going step–by–step through drafting different styles from the block. You'll explore how to lower the waistline and add a contoured waistband (bask), create an empire (high waist) waistline complete with a facing. You can add a twist to your skirt with a peplum, or flounce.

And yes!, a wrap skirt, godet skirts, pieces skirts…So much interesting skirt styles, your wardrobe would not be lacking J.

Fees and Duration:

There are 3 options available for this Course:

• A weekday option for those with a more flexible schedule and who can attend classes four times a week (Tuesday to Friday);
• Evening Option Monday – Thursday
• A weekend option, classes happen on Saturdays only.

The weekday and evening option will last for 4 weeks and the weekend option will last double the time since classes happen only once a week.

Classes start time varies, according to time slot availability, which may either be between 9:00am and 1:30pm prompt or between 11:00am and 3:30pm, for weekday classes.

For Evening Classes, between 4:00pm and 7:00pm

The fees for the Course is N30, 000 Naira, you are required to provide your sewing kit

Start Date & Venue:

We typically announce a start date for a new Session.  However, if you miss the start date, do contact us in case you can still catch up with the current class.  

Our classes take place at Osas Olumese, Number 1A, Opposite Kabo Holdings, Airport Road, Kano.

How to Register:

Pay the required fees by cash or online transfer into the "Osas Olumese" account, 0136026601, at any Guarantee Trust Bank branch.
