Something changed – Our Curriculum

It is not unpopular to do reviews and re-strategize in order to get better results.

We are so excited to tell you that we have once again revisited our curriculum, and we have made changes, which would help prospective student achieve their goals in an effective and efficient way. 


Classes would be run following the new curriculum starting 2018.

We previously had a total of six (6) courses, they were:
  • ·         Basic Sewing and Pattern Drafting Course
  • ·         Skirt Variation Course
  • ·         Basic Bodice Course
  • ·         Advance Bodice Course
  • ·         Jacket Making Course and
  • ·         Trouser Making Course .

With our new offering, four major courses have been drawn out from the previous course, and as a result, we now have

  • ·         Starter: Sewing and Pattern Drafting Course - Skirt
  • ·         Sewing and Pattern Drafting Course - Bodice
  • ·         Jacket Making Course and
  • ·         Trouser Making Course.


The new combination have been well thought out and planned considering how students have related with our previous offering. The previous first four (4) courses have been combined to form two solid courses that would give a well rounded knowledge on the subject matter. Further breakdown on what the resulting course entails would be uploaded on the blog soon.

So free hand cutting and pattern making? Well I have been here and there, but I must confess my preference for pattern making, and I am also a huge fan of standard sizes. I hope that is not too much for a beginner. Ok let me take it one step at a time. Free hand cutting, I believe a large number of us would be aware of it, but we might not know its name. Free hand cutting entails cutting a fabric directly, making use of the wearer‘s measurement. Tailors chalk may or may not be used to make markings on the fabric.
