Hello February: Starting a Fashion School

The need for quality fashion education is on the rise.

Many businesses are looking to start a fashion school as part of their offering, or to give structure to their already existent apprenticeship scheme.

For us at Osas Olumese, we have, as part of our offering a fashion school. The enquiry we have received since the year began has been....plenry (pardon my pidgin).

A lot of the enquiry has been coming in from business owner... looking to set their own strucure,  in the disguise of wanting to enroll their ward (LOL. .. yes we knew your aim)...

Anyways, the sky is too big for two birds to collide.

So this post is for business owners...

As a business owner, looking to start a skill acquisition center, fashion school's,  structure your apprenticeship scheme,  or whatever you choose to call it....
You must first understand your self
Understand your target market. ..

This knowledge will help you structure your offering,  because, this is a service.

You also need an understanding of the growth stages in the learning process.
For example, you don't teach a primary one student, quadratic equations. He or she needs to first of all understand basic mathematics.

What is the basics... For a person learning how to sew for the first time?
Through what stages would the person be taken, to achieve timely growth?

These are some of the questions to be answered when creating a curriculum for your offering.

A prepared curriculum is structure for your offering.

For us at OOTI,  we teach sewing and Pattern drafting.

What is Sewing?
Sewing is an act of joining two or more fabric pieces together, by creating stitches, using a threaded needle.
What is Pattern Drafting?
Pattern drafting is the science of creating the foundation of a garment style on paper, following instructions and body measurements, that will ensure the fit of the resulting garment

Our curriculum has been revised time and time again.

We observe, and ask for feed back from our students,  which we use to improve our offering.

We are proud and excited about what we currently have, and we do have testimonials to attest to this.

You too can grow into some worth perfection (perfection is a journey), it begins with a step.

We would love to here from you, your struggles,  and your successes.
Do share with us in the comment box.

I am rooting for your success
XOXO
