The Corset course is for an Advance designer, who already knows how to sew and cut fabric, into various designs (whether using patterns or free hand), who are looking to improve their skills and knowledge. He/ she must be ready to unlearn and relearn, in order to make the most of this experience.

For seamstresses or tailors who want to improve their skills and knowledge.

This practical course is for anyone who has a personal or professional interest in fashion, who would like to develop the knowledge and skills needed to produce their own made-to-measure corsets. This course introduces the art of corsetry, exploring all its intricacies. The course will begin with a number of structured technical classes.

 

As we prepare for the start of the corset course, we have anticipated some questions applicants would have, and have come up with our answer.

Answer: The class teaches the following:

  • Modest Corset for Big Bust People.
  • Creating a Corset that exposes NO Breast/Cleavage.
  • Plunging neck Corset
  • Transparent Corset.

  • Simple waist Snatching Techniques
  • 2 parts Cupped corset with Zipper Closure.
  • 3 Parts cupped corset with Lacing Closure (Both loop and eyelet).
  • How to add a well blended Illusion neckline to Corset bodice
  • Basque V shaped Corset Bodice.

Question: When is class days?

Answer: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30PM

 

Question: What is the duration of the Course?

Answer: The course is a month long course (4-weeks)

 

Question: Would I be provided with course materials and sewing kit for the course?

Answer: You will be provided with some Course instructional materials. But you won’t be provided with sewing kit. You are expected to get your materials for every practical to be done

 

Question: What would I need for the course?

Question: What happens if I'm unable to meet up with the payment?

Answer: Application would be forfeited if payment isn’t made by the start date. Applicant can watch out for the date of the next batch.

 

Question: Is OOTI a physical school?

Answer: Yes, and participants get a certificate at completion.

So free hand cutting and pattern making? Well I have been here and there, but I must confess my preference for pattern making, and I am also a huge fan of standard sizes. I was surprised today when she brought me a micro-mini version of the cut out fabric of what she had been taught in class, asking how it should be sewn. On a second thought, I was excited about the fact that she would be adding her creativity to the work...So I thought. I asked her, she further surprised me by saying, it is actually a macro-mini version, and she would be using it as house clothe😟😞😕 ....house clothe, ke? you mean you would take your time to sew a house clothe? My thoughts were these: she plans not to take the class work serious she would not put effort to ensure a beautiful result, by ironing or evening using interfacing.
