Thank you for making 2019 count for us, Lets together make 2020 outstanding. New year 2020 Back to the crust of today's post Basically this post is about churning out well made clothes in short time frame. I had to force myself to think about this, as my work load grew. Although I can delegate things to get done, I am yet to grow past the feeling that I get it done it better. Don’t judge me, I will grow out of this. I must, to scale... my brand . Back to the point of this blog post… so when I need to get more done in a short period of time, what I do is... division of labour (thankful for that topic in economics). I do have apprentice that I may not be comfortable giving them the whole garment to do, but I trust their ironing skill, straight line sewing skill, ...

I remember when I was a lot younger… I think I was in secondary school, my mother took me to a tailor to get measured for a garment. According to my mother, this tailor was on-point (you know what I mean) as in his work was beautiful. Learn how to sew at OOTIKano I cannot remember being so excited about it, but who would not love to have more clothe as a child. Fast forward to the day when I received the clothe…. My response was…Is this it? The finishing was poor, the fit was not it. We took it for a number of amendment, and at a point, I just stopped, thinking I would grow to meet the cloth over time LOL. This memory is what caused me to keep asking myself “there must be something more”, as I learnt how to make clothing using the free hand method of doing things. This questions led me to the answer - pattern making. I wanted the focus of my garment to have a lot of emphasis on its Fit and Finish . I would not say I have arrived, but I constantly want to out-do my last job...

We are so excited about 2017. Although 2016, was a good year for us, there is much more unfolding in the year 2017. With the new year, one thing that we must realize is that our goals would not work themselves out. For our dreams to become reality, we must not only plan towards their actualization, but we must work them out. Remember that failure is just an event, it is NOT a person. You may fail, but that does not mean you are a failure. You only need to re-strategize and work at it again. Connect with people who have achieved what you hope to achieve, and ask questions. Attend seminars and workshop, relating to the goals you would like to accomplish. And most importantly, act on what you know. There are no life rehearsals, and for you to accomplish things that have never been done, you have to set out. This is a risk, but you would enjoy the profit, and if you do not profit, you have learnt, do not stay down, GET UP! Let us together make 2017 count NOW. Fo...
