We are splitting the Starter Course-Skirt into two parts.... This change is necessary,  as we observed that some novice to sewing (some maybe with a little experience,  or some forms of online learning, with little or no practical experience), come to us, preferring to start at the bodice class. Although, when we receive inquiries, we explain,  what each class entail. It seems,  it is not well understood, or the prospect is trying to reduce cost, thus opting out from the class which should be his or her foundation and benefit. This results in branching outside the curriculum,  when we find out that students who ought to be grounded in certain basics, find it had to understand or execute simple task.... thus increasing the time frame for the course. The need for quality fashion education is on the rise. Many businesses are looking to start a fashion school as part of their offering, or to give structure to their already existent apprenticeship scheme. For us at Osas Olumese, we have, as part of our offering a fashion school. The enquiry we have received since the year began has been....plenry (pardon my pidgin). A lot of the enquiry has been coming in from business owner... looking to set their own strucure,  in the disguise of wanting to enroll their ward (LOL. .. yes we knew your aim)... A habit one forms, leads to character Anything worth doing at all is worth doing well My Mother I remember these words of my mother while growing up; even till this day she keeps saying it. While growing up, on hearing these words, I would feel like pulling out my hair, as most times the words are provoked by a poorly done chore. Mummy always loved work to be done to perfection, and she doesn't accept anything less. If she notices any imperfections, she will voice out those words of hers. These words framed my work habit, thus I ensured that whatever I did, I do it in the best possible way I know it can be done. I notice that persons who learn the skill of sewing in a haphazard manner, always find it difficult to change the narrative when they become experts. The truth is that you bring your personality and your work habit into anything you do, and learning a skill also. A conscious effort to put your best from the start... What a blog post title for the first post of the year... I thought about it too, but since I have an already  documented post, it can as well be the first for 2020. Happy New Year to you. Thank you for making 2019 count for us, Lets together make 2020 outstanding. New year 2020 Back to the crust of today's post Basically this post is about churning out well made clothes in short time frame. I had to force myself to think about this, as my work load grew. Although I can delegate things to get done, I am yet to grow past the feeling that I get it done it better. Don’t judge me, I will grow out of this. I must, to scale... my brand . Back to the point of this blog post… so when I need to get more done in a short period of time, what I do is... division of labour (thankful for that topic in economics). I do have apprentice that I may not be comfortable giving them the whole garment to do, but I trust their ironing skill, straight line sewing skill,
